As we continue through our recovery efforts from Super Typhoon Sinlaku, government employees continue to experience prolonged disruptions to essential services-most notably only 49% restoration of reliable access to water to Saipan residents.
In recognition of the continued challenges during our recovery efforts, and to support employees to have safe and secure homes, I am hereby authorizing an extension of Administrative Leave for non-essential employees of the Commonwealth Government’s Executive Branch until Friday, May 8th, 2026. Executive branch normal austerity operating hours shall resume on Monday, May 11, 2026.
All department and agency timekeepers are instructed to submit timesheets to Department of Finance-Payroll Section as expected so as not to disrupt payroll processing.
Once again, we remain committed to supporting our employees as they care for their families, rebuild their homes, and contribute to the recovery of our Commonwealth.
